Pinzolo hits the spot for first-timers and families

Surrounded by views of snowy meadows and pine-covered peaks, Bepy Hotel fits the bill if you’re after a scenic stay for your Pinzolo ski trip. Pinzolo hits the spot for first-timers and families. You’re up among the peaks from day one in the nursery area at the top of the Pinzolo-Prà Rodont gondola, and little skiers have mini slaloms in the nearby kids’ area to help tune up their turns. Then when you’re ready to rack up the miles, take the Express cable car to explore 150km of piste in the wider Ski Area Campiglio.

The town itself was around long before the ski lifts arrived, and there’s a laid-back, lived-in feel to the place, with plenty of shops and restaurants lining the streets. When it comes to slopeside après, the bar at the bottom of Tulot-Malga gondola is your go-to. Or for something more leisurely, take a stroll through the centre to see the 14^th-century church, before calling in at a local café for an after-ski aperitif.

In between slope sessions, you can get your skates on at the Olympic Ice Arena. And for a different way to see the scenery, how about taking to the skies on a tandem paragliding flight?
