Rhine and Moselle River Cruise
Following embarkation in Cologne, this cruise takes you south on the Rhine to Koblenz where we join the Moselle River, calling in the delightful town of Cochem. We also visit Trier, the oldest city in Germany, famous for its Roman amphitheatre, baths and the imposing Porta Nigra, the huge, fortified gate that formed the eastern border of the Roman Empire. After our furthest port of call, Bernkastel, we commence our cruise back downstream towards the Rhine, with time to relax and absorb the stunning scenery along the Moselle valley.

DAY 1 Arrival in Cologne The adventure begins in Cologne where you embark your ship.
DAY 2 Cochem We’re cruising along the Rhine and the Moselle this morning before an afternoon in Cochem.
DAY 3 Trier Enjoy the scenery along the Moselle as we continue upstream. After lunch we take the short drive to Trier for a guided tour.
DAY 4 Bernkastel This morning, join your local guide for a tour of Bernkastel, then relax on board as we commence our cruise back downstream.
DAY 5 Koblenz & Boppard Discover Koblenz on a morning guided tour this morning, before sailing on the Rhine to visit Boppard.
DAY 6 Rhine Gorge & Rüdesheim Cruise through the magnificent Rhine Gorge this morning on our way to Rüdesheim, where after a tour you are free to explore.
DAY 7 Cologne Enjoy a leisurely final cruising morning on our way to Cologne, where a local guide will show you this captivating city.
DAY 8 Return home It’s time to say goodbye to your crew and start the journey home.
This was our 3rd River Cruise and our 1st with Riviera, we were both interested to compare with the previous two with Scenic. Is am pleased to say we were impressed and would certainly use Riviera on our next cruise.
